A flock of sweetness.
Hey guys! I am Goose, a 3 years old, spayed female Terrier mix, weighing 37 lbs. Originally I was rescued from the hoarding shelter situation in Ensenada by TAP and they worked on my rehabilitation. I was adopted, but sadly, that didnt work out and here I am looking for my furever home. I am mostly all bathroom trained and leash trained.
This mama Goose is not as loosey goosey. I need help with confidence building and overcoming shyness. I am too shy around people and other animals and need my own space. I am generally hidden away in my napping area most of the day and come out like a little hatchling at mealtimes. I need proper intro to new people. Men especially make me nervous, no thanks to past trauma. I would really be best with no young kids in the house and older respectful teenagers will be good. But I respond very well with patience and calmness. They do say positive reinforcement and desensitization is the best way to help a dog! I do like my walks and being outside in fresh air. I do like dogs as long as there is slow introduction and I am given time to warm up.
I do best with the ladies and in an adult household, and with men who can let me go at my pace and not hurry up. My adopters will need to help me with patience to work through my shyness with proper structure and direction and have an understanding of dogs body language and cues. A quiet and mellow home would be ideal. A space to retreat or hide when feeling overwhelmed around new people on the home will be helpful. I would do best in a home with another confident dog to mentor me and give me confidence. My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
