Adoptable: Daisy: Courtesy Post

Age: 3.5 years old

Gender: Female

Breed: Black Mouth Cur Mix

Weight: 70 lbs

Personality: Background: Daisy was adopted by a family after being at the San Diego Humane Society for nearly two years. Unsurprisingly, she was experiencing high levels of kennel stress and some behavioral issues (such as, being mouthy when overly excited) at the time she was taken to her new home. However, it took her little time to blossom outside the shelter, and she has made a lot of improvement on her behavioral issues since then. Daisy is great outside the home with other doggies. In fact, while she was at the Humane Society, she was often the dog they used to introduce to new dogs because of her social skills and lack of reactivity towards other dogs. However, she does not get along with her current doggie sibling and, therefore, is looking for a new home. She is spayed, in good health, but she is on Prozac to manage her anxiety and high arousal levels. Daisy is a high-energy girl, who is playful, curious, loyal, and affectionate. She’s incredibly smart and easy to please.

Education: Daisy is already potty- and leash-trained. She is easy to train and redirect when she gets overly excited. Though she does have mild separation anxiety, she is not the destructive type and settles down quickly.

Favorite Activities: Daisy enjoys playing fetch, going on long walks/hikes, playing tug of war, getting belly scratches, and cuddling with her humans.

Looking for: Daisy is a full-throttle gal who loves to have fun and play. An outdoor space would be great for her to zoom around! She'll be an amazing companion to an experienced dog owner and would do best as the only doggie in the home. No kiddos, please, due to her high arousal levels.

Adoption Fee: $ 250
