Personality: Zeke is a great dog, very energetic and playful but becomes mellow once he gets his energy out. He is good with adults, even with the newly met ones, but he tends to bark at kids he is unfamiliar with. He enjoys spending time with his family, but he also does pretty well being alone and settles after a short period of whimpering. He is food protective with treats and just needs his space at that time.

Hi there!
I am Zeke, a big boy at 150 pounds of love and devotion! I am a purebred Boerboel, and this means I am loyal and intelligent and enjoy learning new things!

As a puppy, I had training classes for some food aggression, and I became so much better, but occasionally, I can revert back to that, mostly when I am enjoying some tasty treats.

I am great with people, but I prefer adults because they understand that I need some space when I am eating, especially my treats. I currently live with a 9-year old girl, and we are big friends most of the time, and she even feeds me, but recently I thought that she was getting too close when I was enjoying my treat, and I started growling at her. Sorry! But if you give me some space during that time, we are never going to have any problems.

I am now looking for a new home, preferably with adults only or with the teens who understand and can give me some space when I eat my treats.
