McDuff is What Dreams are Made Of!
Hey there! My name is McDuff. I’m a handsome 4-year-old, 54-pound brindle-and-white American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a curious mind and a big heart. I made my way to TAP from ESLR in Ensenada, and these days, I’m enjoying the good life—soft couches, tasty snacks, and plenty of time with my humans!
If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, I’m your guy. I love following my people around the house and keeping an eye on everything that’s going on (especially in the kitchen). Despite my size, I firmly believe I’m a lap dog. Visitors? Even better! I’m a friendly guy who enjoys greeting guests and soaking up attention.
I’m also a fan of the outdoors. Walks and hikes are some of my favorite adventures, especially when there are plenty of new smells to investigate. On leash I’m pretty well-behaved—I may pull a little when something interesting catches my nose, but I’m not reactive to other dogs. Speaking of dogs, I’m a social guy and get along great with other pups. I became fast friends with my foster brother Filmore and even hit it off right away with small dogs.
When I’m not exploring or supervising the household, I’m all about the snacks. I’ve got a great appetite and love trying new foods—apples, bananas, and zucchini are all on my approved menu! I also enjoy training sessions (because treats), and I’m a smart guy.
At home, I’m crate trained and sleep peacefully through the night. I am also already potty trained! The other good news? I don’t have separation anxiety and I’m happy to relax in my crate, hang out in the backyard, or nap while you’re away for a few hours.
Why me? Because I’m a fun, friendly, easygoing companion who truly enjoys being part of the pack! I’m the kind of dog who will happily join you for a hike in the morning and then curl up next to you on the couch for the afternoon. I love people, get along well with other dogs, and have a wonderful mix of curiosity, affection, and go-with-the-flow energy.
My adoption fee is $350 and includes my spay, vaccinations, and microchip. If you’d like to meet me, please fill out the form here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
