At 3 years old and a perfect medium-sized 39 lbs, JJ has mastered the art of balance: he can start his morning like he just had three espressos… and end his day curled up like a sleepy little cinnamon roll. Truly, range.
The vibe:
JJ is sweet, affectionate, and just a tiny bit impulsive (okay, sometimes he makes decisions before consulting his brain but we love a confident king). He’s super treat-motivated, eager to connect with his humans, and always down for attention… especially if it leads to cuddles.
Daily highlights include:
- Morning zoomies (non-negotiable)
- Leisurely strolls and adventures (Balboa Park approved 🌿)
- Strategic napping (he takes this very seriously)
- Practicing his “good boy” skills (he’s very trainable!)
The roommate review:
He currently lives with another dog and is doing great—he’d likely love a dog sibling with a similar chill-but-playful personality. Having a buddy around actually helps him feel more relaxed when his humans are away.
Things he’s working on (we love a self-improvement king):
- Leash manners (right now it’s more “freestyle interpretive dance”)
- Ignoring squirrels, birds, and cats (they are simply too exciting)
- Being left alone (he’s getting better with routine + crate time)
