Chew-chew! Your cuddly companion has arrived!
Hi, friends! I’m Chewy—your 9-pound, 5-year-old Maltese/Poodle mix (aka adorable Malti-poo). I may be small, but I’ve got a big heart and an even bigger love for cozy movie nights, soft blankets, and being your little shadow while you work from home. I was rescued off Skid Row in LA, and now I’m ready to trade in my past for a calm, loving furever home where I can truly relax and be adored.
I’m a pretty chill guy overall—low to mid energy. I’m happiest curled up next to you or snoozing while you type away. I love my walks, but I may need a little help on longer adventures or steep hills. I’m currently in a foster home with two other pups and we get along well. I especially like small friends like me or I’d be just fine as your one-and-only!
Due to my ruff past, I can be protective of my food and space, so I need to be fed separately and handled carefully during meals or treats. I’ve also been working through some sensitivity around my face—likely from past dental pain (I just had a big dental glow-up and lost a few teeth!), so I’ll need a patient human who respects my boundaries, especially with grooming. Spa days aren’t exactly my favorite yet, but with time, trust, and treats, I’ll keep making pawgress.
I’m mostly potty trained (mornings are my “let me out!” moment), and I’ll also use puppy pads if needed. I do well in a crate when you’re out—just make sure it’s sturdy, because I’m not a fan of those soft-sided ones. I may whimper a little when you leave, but I settle quickly and nap like a pro.
Because of my tendency to nip when I feel uncomfortable (around food or grooming), I’d do best in a calm, adult-only home or one without young kiddos. What will I give you in return? Endless cuddles, loyal companionship, and the kind of love that makes every day feel a little softer.
