Hey there! I’m Arlo — a 4-year-old, 44-pound boxer / terrier mix cutie with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. I’ve been with my family since I was just a pup, and while they love me dearly, they realized I need a little more space, activity, and attention than they can give right now. So here I am, ready to find my pawfect forever home!
I’m a fun-loving, playful guy who’s always up for an adventure– whether that’s exploring hiking trails, running around at the park, or just goofing off in the yard. I’m also a total softie… I love cuddling on the couch, watching TV (especially if there are horses on screen!), and being close to my people. I’m a perfect mix of action and affection.
I’m dog-friendly and enjoy playing with other pups, though I can get a little excited and can be protective over my toys. I’m great with kids, but since I can get a bit bouncy, I’d do best with older kiddos who won’t get knocked over by my enthusiasm. I haven’t been around cats much, so that’s still a bit of a mystery!
I know my basic commands, and I’m a smart boy who likes to listen. I’ll admit I can pull a bit on the leash when I’m excited. I’m house-trained and generally well-behaved, but if I get really excited when you come home, I might have a little accident. I don’t have major separation anxiety, but I do love my people and prefer to be near them when I can. Oh, and fair warning… I’m not a fan of car rides, water, or brooms (we all have our quirks, right?).
My dream home would have a loving human (I do great with guys!) or a family who’s ready to include me in their adventures and their downtime. I’d love someone active who can help me burn off energy, but also someone who’s happy to snuggle up after a long day. I pawmise to bring lots of love, laughs, and loyalty into your life!
