Puppy Love Donation Drive
Waterford Terrace Retirement Community is partnering with The Animal Pad to collect items for our furry friends! On February 14, 15, and 16 from 2-6pm, Waterford Terrace will be accepting donation items for TAP in front of their community. They are located at 5580 Aztec Drive, La Mesa. This event is called Puppy Love Drive in honor of Luke, their resident Corgi.
LUKE
Lydia brought Luke home when he was 8 weeks old. It was instant chemistry! Some people would call it Puppy Love! Luke was always a happy dog. He preferred female dogs over male dogs and had 4 girlfriends his street at one time. Luke loved people. His first time at dog beach he sat right between beachgoers as they laid out in the sun. He would make himself right at home by situating himself on their blankets.
In 2018, Lydia moved into Waterford Terrace. Luke became an instant hit with residents with his loving, charming personality. He spent a lot of one-on-one time with the many residents and employees of Waterford. In 2020, Luke was also on a news segment about living life in a retirement community. He was featured with Lydia, while she talked about how wonderful it was to have her pet live with her at Waterford.
Unfortunately, Luke was diagnosed with aggressive cancer, and he passed on Saturday 1/15/2022. Luke will be extremely missed!
In Luke’s honor, Waterford Terrace is partnering with us to collect items for our rescue pups!
