The regal hero!

Hey there! I am Xander, the mighty! I am a 6 year old, male neutered German Shepherd mix and a large boy at 90 lbs. I had given up living in a hoarding situation in Arizona, the infamous Chandler 55 case. But my fates turned around when the ‘shelter’ got raided and TAP scooped me up. Like a lot of my siblings there, I had medical needs that were completely ignored. I have Addison’s Disease. To manage it, I need a monthly injection of Percorten (~$200.00 per injection. Price will vary based on established vet pricing) and will need to be on Prednisone (~$5.00 for a months supply. Price may very on market value and where purchased) for the rest of my life. I do need help, but what I give you in return will be much greater!

I have been so lucky to be at my pawfect foster home, where I am loved, adored and taken care of, to be able to move to my furever home with ease. They have ensured that I pick up as many house manners as possible. We are good with bathroom training and working on leash walking. Crates arent required for me. I am a very mellow boy, with a sweet disposition. I am friendly with dogs and kiddos. Truly, I am a wonderful friend to all. Cats are an unknown at this point. I do need regular exercise, but more like long walks and mental enrichment and not going actively crazy. I am smart and curious. I like to hang in teh sunshine, watching squirrels. I do get excited seeing them, so I think I do have a prey drive.

My foster fam says that I would make a wonderful first dog for any family or person! Anyone wanting a big dog with a sweet nature should definitely think of me! I would love a yard and someone who engages with me. Some level of activity and play would be ideal. I can manage alone for the day, but I’ll be waiting and hankering for love and attention after your office time! If you think we can be best mates together, we have to meet! My adoption fee is $200 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
