One big ham!

Hi, pals! My name is Tyson, and I’m a 3-year-old neutered Lab Mix male, weighing in at 45 pounds.  I’ve come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home.

My foster mama says that I’m a huge cuddle bug! I love snuggling, sleeping on the couch, and going to town on my squeaky toys, bones, and chews.  I’m super dog-friendly and don’t seem to mind kitties (given the limited exposure I’ve had to them).  Kiddos seem to be A-OK, too, especially since I’m the not the aggressive type.

As for my training, I’m fully crate trained and sleep in my crate at night.  Potty training is coming along great, and I’ve only had three accidents since I’ve been with my foster family.  Leash training, though, is a bit of a challenge.  Loud noises frighten me, so being outside can be pretty scary.  However, the more and more I get outside for walks, the less fearful I’ve become.  I think once I am fully acclimated to the outdoors, I’ll make a great little adventure buddy!  Other than that, I show very mild signs of separation anxiety and have done just fine when my parents are at work.  I’m also not much of a barker.

Because of my easy-going nature, I think I’d do well in most homes – especially with owners who’ve never had a dog before.  Doggie siblings would be great, as I seem to learn from them, but they’re not necessary.  A mellow or active household would suit me just fine – after all I like to go with the flow!

My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
