Age: 2 years old
Gender: Female
Breed: Lab Mix
Weight: 50 lbs
Personality: Tweety is a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug who loves every person she meets. She’s playful and energetic outside but turns into a total couch potato indoors.
Education: Potty trained and crate trained—sleeps through the night quietly and settles well when left alone. Learning the “crate” command and making steady progress with leash manners, though she still pulls at times.
Favorite Activities: She loves tug of war, going on walks and hikes, and snuggling with her humans!
Looking for: Tweety would do best in an active home that enjoys playtime and walks but also appreciates snuggly downtime. A home without young children is ideal due to her excitable jumping, and she’ll thrive with patient training, enrichment, and slow introductions to other dogs. She’s a low-maintenance sweetheart indoors and can be left alone without issue.
Adoption Fee: $ 300
Hi there – my name is Tweety!
I’m a sweet and snuggly 2-year-old Lab mix, weighing around 50 pounds. I’ve got the best of both worlds: playful and energetic outside, but a total couch potato once we’re inside. I’m the kind of dog who’ll tug on a rope toy one minute and curl up next to you for a nap the next. I love going on walks, hikes, and spending quality time with my humans.
I’m very affectionate and love meeting people—though I get a little excited and might jump up to say hello (but don’t worry, I settle down in just a few minutes). I’m still working on my leash manners and can pull when I’m overstimulated, but I’ve already made a ton of progress since arriving in my foster home. Car rides can make me a little reactive, especially around motorcycles, and I sometimes bark at outdoor noises, but I’m otherwise very quiet and chill in the house. I haven’t had much experience meeting other dogs on walks yet, but with slow introductions, I think I’ll do just fine.
When it comes to training, I’m doing great! I’m fully potty trained and crate trained—I’ll sleep quietly through the night in my crate and go in on my own when it’s time to rest. I’m learning the “crate” command too. I can handle a full workday on my own (about 6–8 hours), though I do love being around my people. I don’t have any separation anxiety and am overall pretty low-maintenance once you get past my leash excitement.
I’d do best in an active home that also appreciates some mellow cuddle time. I love attention, so older or calmer kids would be a better match for me since I can get a little too enthusiastic with younger ones. A patient family who can keep up my training and give me some fun mental and physical enrichment would help me thrive.
My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
