Adoptable: Tinsel and Holly: Courtesy Post

Age: 1 year old

Gender: Female

Breed: Terrier mix

Weight: 25 lbs

Personality: Both girls are very sweet dogs. They love people and other doggies friends and have a positive energy about them. While they are still relatively young, they like to lounge around and spend a lot of their time relaxing in the yard next to the sanctuary.

Education: Tinsel and Holly are super smart and have adapted quickly to their surroundings. They learned how to walk well on a leash within a few hours. Neither show any signs of separation anxiety.

Favorite Activities: Tinsel and Holly love being petted, scratched, talked with, and taken for walks on the beach. They are good around other pups and have shown no aggression. Riding in the car is a big treat, and everything is new and exciting to them.

Looking for: These girls would do well in most homes, as long as they got about 30 minutes of activity in each day. They love just hanging out with their humans and are easy to fall in love with. Both girls are dog and kid-friendly, but kitties are currently an unknown.

Special needs: No special needs. Tinsel and Holly are up-to-date on their shots and have also been spayed and wormed. The hope is that they can be kept together but fostering/adopting them separately would also be considered.

Adoption Fee: $ 250

Background:  These sisters were abandoned in the hills in Baja.  People were leaving food for them over the course of a week after they were discovered, but no one had offered to rescue them. That all changed for the better, though, when staff and volunteers from Tina Jo’s Promise Equine Rescue went out on Christmas Eve and were able to capture and bring them to the horse sanctuary. Both girls were treated for malnutrition, worms and mange and quickly became ranch favorites.
