I can soar like a bird and am ready to spread my wings!

I am Raven, a sweet and rambunctious blind, 7 month old Doodle puppy, currently weighing in at 22 lbs. My favorite activities include playing hide and seek and barking out the car window. My lack of vision does not stop me and I enjoy playing with interactive dog toys that make noise as well as puzzle feeders. I am always a very busy bird around the house and yard!

I am crate trained and enjoy having it covered, as my safe space. I am a master napper throughout the day in my crate. I am still working on potty training, and will need basic puppy lessons and help with leash training. In a new environment, I will take a little bit to find the preferred exits outside for my bathroom breaks, but I am a quick learner and very food motivated!

I can be mouthy, as I’m teething and like to bite on anything near my mouth. Positive reinforcement and redirection is key to me learning what I can and cannot chew on. Since I am blind, it is helpful to talk to me often and give me verbal cues to let me know when you will pet me or are going to put my leash on. I will do best in a home with children at least 10-12 years or older. I love to roughhouse with my dog friends and would do well in a home with another dog who can tolerate and engage in my puppy energy level.

In regard to my blindness, my forever family will need to be cautious of stairs, access to and around pools, and staying off tall furniture to keep me safe throughout my life. I like to think I can fly but cannot, so I will soar in other ways. I have been to the neurologist and got a good bill of health and can’t wait to “see” who my forever family will be!

My adoption fee is $800 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
