To meet her, is to love her!
Howdy, y’all! My name is Montana, and I’m a spayed 1-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at 26 pounds. My journey started at the Devore Shelter, where I was facing a tough fate after having surgery for a prolapsed uterus. But thanks to the amazing folks at TAP, I got my second chance—and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead!
I’m a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle—I’ll even rest my head on your shoulder and drift right off to sleep. But don’t be fooled, I’ve got a playful side, too! I love to wrestle with my doggie friends, collect toys in my bed, and keep my tail wagging nonstop. I get along great with other pups (including my Great Dane puppy, Pug/Boxer mix, and Chi/Terrier mix foster siblings), and I love kiddos, too – though I do have the tendency to give playful nips every now and then when I’m feeling overly excited.
When it comes to training, I’m making some great progress! I’m mostly potty trained with just the occasional accident, and while I haven’t had leash training yet, I’m working hard on improving, especially with my reactivity around other doggies who are on a leash. I also don’t have any separation anxiety, so you can count on me to be a happy, easygoing companion.
So, basically, I’m the perfect combo of being a loving snugglebug and playful puppy. I’d do best with kids (preferably older since I can get a bit mouthy) and with doggie siblings. The more love and attention, the better!
My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
