Personality: Miss Mango is a low-energy, incredibly affectionate girl who just wants to be near her humans. She adores kids and has a gentle, loving nature that shines through in every interaction. She doesn’t ask for much—just a good meal, a few treats, and someone to love.
Education: Fully bathroom trained and an easy leash walker. Crates worsen her separation anxiety, but she’s made great progress uncrated and hasn’t been destructive when left alone!
Favorite Activities: Napping in the fluffiest blanket you can find! Sunbathing in grass! Hanging out with you at breweries, coffee shops, restaurants.
Looking for: Miss Mango would thrive in a mellow home with plenty of human companionship—she’s still working through some separation anxiety and isn’t quite ready to be left alone for more than 1–1.5 hours at a time. Special needs: Miss Mango was rescued with her front right paw missing (likely amputated), so she uses her front left paw and two hind legs to walk! That being said, she is a trooper and still enjoys a nice calm stroll through the neighborhood or a walk along the beach :)

Hi there! I’m Miss Mango—a 9-year-old sweetheart weighing 52 pounds. I might be missing a front paw, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve got endless love, resilience, and tail wags to share! I was rescued from heartbreaking conditions at a fraudulent rescue in Baja, where I was sadly neglected. But thanks to the amazing folks at TAP, I now have a second chance and I’m ready to find my forever home.
I’m a low-energy gal who’s happiest simply being near my humans. Whether it’s napping in the fluffiest blanket, sunbathing in the grass, or joining you at breweries, coffee shops, or restaurants—I’m just thrilled to be part of your world. I also absolutely adore kids and greet everyone with affection. I’m fully potty trained, a gentle leash walker, and I’ve made incredible progress with my separation anxiety when left uncrated. While I can’t be crated due to anxiety, I’ve been trustworthy and calm when left alone for short periods.
Despite all I’ve been through, I’m still so joyful and trusting. People always say they can tell I’ve had a tough past, but they’re struck by how happy and loving I remain. My gentle nature and big heart make me the perfect couch companion—and my wiggly greetings and sweet snuggles will brighten even your cloudiest day.
I’d do best in a mellow home with lots of companionship—someone who’s around most of the time, or who can bring me along for daily outings. I’m okay being alone for short periods, but I’m truly happiest when I’m by your side.
