Hi there! My name is Mika. I’m a 5-year-old spayed Terrier mix female, with 16 lb of pure joy.
I’m originally from Tijuana, where I was rescued in 2022 after being hit by a car, which left me paralyzed. Pity me not, though! I’m super resilient and do not let that stop me.
Despite my hind legs paralysis, I’m famous for my “spinal walk” with a funny hopping way of getting around, and I am actually extremely fast! I just cannot control my bowels or bladder. A small detail. But luckily, I look super cute in diapers hehe.
I’m pretty good with leash and crate training, and I have no separation anxiety.
It may take a second or two for me to warm up to adults, but kids…? Oh, kids are my jam!!
I love them so much that my wonderful foster mom takes me to classrooms as an ambassador to teach kids that being different is cool! Now, how cool is that!?
With adults, once I know you for longer than about 30 seconds, I’m the biggest lover and cuddle bug you will ever meet. Just gimme all those pets and attention.
I have never met cats before, but I’m super duper dog friendly! I currently live with nothing less than 10 dogs, and I get along well with everyone by matching their respective energy. I’m playful when they want me to be but also can be very calm and sweet.
My pawfect day includes a good sunbathing session, playtime with friends, getting lots of attention and love, being diaper free in the yard and then getting my diaper back on so I can roll around the dog beds in the living room.
I also LOVE going out. No chair needed but for longer walks a wagon is perfect (I feel just like a little princess).
My foster momma said that I’m actually pretty easy for a “special needs” pup. So my ideal home is with whoever is willing to love a special girl!
I may be a little bit barky when playing or excited (nice to meet you, I’m a terrier haha), but nothing that cannot be managed or that would prevent me from fitting into any home.
I would definitely love a yard (although that’s not a deal breaker) and someone who is at home most of the time. Afterall, I’m the best companion ever (not me saying), so you wouldn’t want to be away from me for too long anyway. 😉
