Move over Charlie Brown… Linus is looking for a new bestie!

Hi, there! My name is Linus. Just like my Peanuts namesake, I’m a loving, loyal guy who everyone loves (except maybe Lucy, but that’s what older sisters are for). I’m a 3-year-old, 55-pound, lab mix. I’m already neutered and a healthy guy! I feel very fortunate because I was one of the pooches rescued from the ESLR “shelter” in Ensenada. I’m so thankful for this new life and hope I can spend it as your best bud.

When you hear the expression, “man’s best friend” that’s me! I love to love and get attention. My foster fam calls me a “bowling ball of happiness.” I’m pals with everyone, kid included, and adore snuggling (maybe with Linus’s famous blankie?). I get along well with other dogs and they actually help me be confident and awesome. Cats, well, are a non-no. I’d say I’m more on the low to moderate energy side, but I do get silly playful bursts! So, I am good with kids, but definitely prefer older and more respectful ones to understand the need to respect boundaries when dog is lying down or sleeping.

I’m a very low-maintenance fella who is already bathroom trained. No accidents here! When other dogs bark at me when I’m out on the leash I get a bit nervous. I am good on the leash and with gentle leader and work best with redirection and positive reinforcement training. I don’t have any separation anxiety but nothing makes me happier than being by your side! I make the very best companion.

With my sweet disposition, easy-going energy, and good manners– I’m pretty much the pawfect pooch! I would do well in a variety of loving households. Being with doggie friends at home will really help me thrive. I’m adaptable, adorable, and ready to be someone’s life-long best bud. So what do you say? Be the Charlie Brown to my Linus and make me the happiest guy!

My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
