Adoptable: Lider: Courtesy Post

Age: 5 years old

Gender: Female

Breed: Shepherd mix

Weight: 55 lbs

Personality: Such a matriarch and a leader! She is gentle but can be stubborn. Lider is an amazing and admirable dog. She is incredibly loyal and astute, she is also charming since the simplest thing, such as napping in the sun, make her happy and put a smile on her precious face. It is amazing how well she can communicate without even barking, especially when she is given attention it is funny to see how she extends her paw to you as if she was telling you "no, no I want more". She is a very strong, well-behaved, and clean dog.

Education: Working on bathroom and leash training

Favorite Activities: Napping, cuddling, going on walks.

Looking for: A mellow and calm home since she has been on the run for a long time. She does not need constant company but she does need dedicated attention for being cuddled. It would also be great for her home to have a defined yard since she does tend to wander off, and she is definitely used to being outdoors, yet under a roof. It would be nice for her to continue to be accompanied by other dogs since she is very social.

Special needs: Her left back leg is wounded and she is currently undergoing treatment by taking medicine and us applying ointment to her wound. So she struggles a bit to walk.

Adoption Fee: $ 250

Background from her foster mama: She began roaming around my neighborhood with her pack of 5 dogs, she was the oldest and the leader of the group, hence her name. My family began giving them food and water since they were malnourished despite having collars on. We think they came from an abandoned ranch since there are many around where I live in Tijuana. After a few months, the dogs began to stay overnight and on rainy days in my garage. Out of all her pack, she is the most respected, wherever she goes the rest follows her, thanks to her bringing the dogs to our home, we were able to look after them and begin to help them, so she is clearly loyal to her pack and they are loyal to her. Since we began to receive threats from our neighbors of calling the pound to get rid of the dogs since they would chase people walking with their dogs that passed by my house. We decided it was time to grab the rest of the pack (since we placed 1 and a puppy they brought to their forever homes) and do everything possible for them to be adopted.
