He is a cracker of a lad!
Hey, friends! My name is Cracker, and I’m a 1 year-old Terrier Mix with a bite-sized frame—just 14 pounds! I’ve already been neutered and am in great health. My brother, Cheese, and I were rescued from the San Diego Humane Society, where I was under-socialized and feeling pretty shutdown. But thanks to my amazing TAP foster family, I’m learning to embrace life one day at a time!
I’m a playful, high-energy pup who loves romping around with other doggie friends! Humans, though, make me a little nervous at first, so I’ll need some time and patience to warm up. But once I do, I promise I’m as sweet and loving as they come! I also enjoy snuggling, playing with my chew toys, and even splashing around in the water.
When it comes to training, I’m making great progress with potty and crate training! I’m still figuring out the whole leash and collar thing, though. I can be a bit vocal when I’m feeling anxious or startled, and I prefer to have my space when eating if humans are around. The good news? I don’t have any separation anxiety!
I’d thrive in a home with another energetic pup—big or small! I’m not sure how I’d do with cats, and I’d do best in a home without small kids since I need clear boundaries and prefer not to be touched unless I initiate.
If you’re looking for a playful, fun-loving pup who just needs a little TLC to feel safe, I could be the perfect match for you. My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
