Adoptable: Buttercup

Hi there! My name’s Buttercup, and I’m a 4-year-old Terrier mix weighing 73 lbs. I was rescued by TAP from a shelter, and ready for my furever home. I’m bathroom and crate trained, and I’ve got great manners around the house. I am scheduled for a spay soon!

I’m a mellow girl when we’re home, but don’t let that fool you—I get super excited for walks, car rides, or just spending time outside soaking up some nature. You’ll know when I’m ready to go because I get all wiggly and happy! I love cuddling up on the couch or bed, getting belly rubs, and being showered with hugs. I’m also a big fan of fruits like blueberries, bananas, and pumpkin—yum! I’ll admit, I’ve got a bit of a dominant streak, so I prefer hanging out with large dogs and need slow introductions if there’s another pup in the picture. Small dogs and cats aren’t really my thing, so it’s probably best I’m the only pet in the house.

I’m great with humans and love socializing, so I think I’d do well with kids, too. I adapt to the energy of the home, whether it’s a low-key vibe or a more active one. If you need to run a quick errand, I’m cool hanging out at home—I promise I won’t make a mess or get into trouble. But if you invite me along, I’ll be over the moon to tag along for the ride! I’ve been through some training and really thrive with structure. I even have my own schedule and will remind you if it’s time for meals, walks, or playtime.
