Buddy is going to be your bestie!

Hi all! My name is Buddy and I am a 5 year old, male, fixed Siberian Husky. I am a nice cuddly 36 lbs of weight. I was saved from the Euth list at San Bernardino, CA SEAACA, by TAP, and have been at my foster home since then. I have mastered bathroom, leash and crate training and I have graduated as a pawfectly good boi!

I have been diagnosed with Polyneuropathy, Type 1. This disease often shows as a young adult (< 2 years of age). Generally, the affected dog may suffer from slowly worsening gait abnormalities (ataxia) and muscle weakness and atrophy, all of which I have shown symptoms of. We, who have this, can still live a happy life, but with some adjustments and the right person to accommodate my disability as it progresses. This is really just a matter of keeping me comfortable and limiting strenuous activity that could cause potential injury and soreness.

I am a very happy boy and the biggest sweetheart. I am so expressive and can tell you about how happy I am, what treatos I want, and when I want to go bathroom! I will tell you how much I missed you when you get home! I have a relaxed demeanor, but have bouts of energy during playtime and love going on walks. I can be cautious around strangers and will take a little bit to warm up. But once I do, it’s pure love! I do well with other dogs, cats and older kids.

If you have lots of love in your heart and some comfortable spots for me at home, we will be besties! Playtime, car rides, snuggles, we can have it all! I do have limitations due to my condition, but it’s never prevented me from playing, running, going up stairs or any typical dog behavior. I’d do just fine with or without dogs as long as I have playdates. If you think we can be good ol’ buddies, let’s meet up! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
