Hi, friends! My name is Beck, and I’m a 2-year-old Shepherd Mix male, weighing in at 49 pounds.
I’m an extremely playful and sweet guy who’s working hard to be the best me I can be. I was relinquished by my former family for reasons unknown, but that hasn’t gotten me down one bit. I know my furever family is right around the corner! Since being with TAP, I’ve made lots of improvement – especially in the areas of crate- and leash-training. I’m completely house-broken, and I already know some commands (such as, “sit” and “shake”). My health is in tip-top shape, too, and I’ve already been neutered.
I’m told that I’m friendly and cuddly, and my favorite activities include chasing after ropes and frisbees outside, jumping up on the couch next to you, and playing in the backyard. I can get pretty excitable, especially during meal and play time, and tend to bark loudly to let everyone know how excited I am. Thankfully, though, I can be easily calmed down with a walk or with a little human engagement.
I think I’d do well in an active household. I struggle with moderate separation anxiety, so the more company I have during the day, the better! I do well with older kids and have been around a 7 year old. Kitties are an unknown at this time, since I haven’t spent much time around them. I do prefer being the only dog in the house. Other than that, some unconditional love and training would make me shine!
