Hi guys! My name is Amelia and I am a 1 year old, spayed female spaniel mix, weighing around 12 lbs. I am so thankful that I was rescued from my hoarding situation in National city and found myself in a loving TAP foster home. I am thrilled even if you can’t tell, and decompressing to be able to love deeply! For the moment bear with my shyness as I have not been exposed to a lot in the outside world and will continue my journey of discovery and growth.
I am such a sweetie, that I have made my foster family fall in love with me and they are looking for the right home where I will be treated like a princess. I may take a little time to fully open up, but it is so worth it. My big eyes show all the love I am capable of holding. I am currently working on potty training. great in a crate and on leash. I adore other dogs and they are a nice confidence boost for me. I need a home with no children. An adult- only or only teenagers in the home that can adequately read my body language and give me the space I will need, will set me up for success. A resident dog that is playful and engages with me in the home, and will be a mentor to help me maintain my confidence and not regress is most important. I am looking for home that really accepts me for where I am at right now.

I do love dogs of any size, and for my continued progress and confidence, I need to have a companion dog in the home! Do give me time to overcome my shyness and we will be golden!
