A gentle giant with an even bigger heart!

Hey there, I’m Eli — an 11-year-old, 75-pound German Shepherd with a big ol’ head (yep, I had a tumor removed but I’m all healed up!) and personality that is bound to make you smile! I might be a senior, but don’t let my age fool you — I’ve still got some goofy zoomies and toy-chomping days in me!

I’m the kind of guy who will follow you from room to room with a ball in my mouth and love in my eyes. I must have a toy at all times — preferably a squeaky one or a trusty tennis ball. I’m a slow walker (I’m not trying to win any races here), and I take life at a relaxed pace, enjoying every moment. If I can hear you but not see you, I might let out a little whine… just to remind you that I’m your number-one fan.

I’m great with kids and mellow large dogs, but little dogs aren’t really my jam. If you’ve got another playful pup, that’s awesome — I’ll happily trot behind them and be their cheerleader. If not, I’m perfectly content snoozing by your feet all day.

House trained? Check. Bathroom pro? Check. Walks nicely on a leash? You bet. I don’t need a crate and I don’t have separation anxiety either. I do take daily meds for my ears, but I’m great about it — easy-peasy.

I’d thrive in a mellow home with someone who wants a loyal, low-key companion. Whether you work from home or go to the office, I’ll be there waiting for our evening strolls and bedtime snuggles. If you’re looking to give a sweet senior a soft landing and a joyful retirement, I might just be your perfect match.

Adopt me and let’s make these golden years the best ones yet!

My adoption fee is $100 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
