The coziest boy!
Hi friends! I am Socks and I will keep you warm and toasty all year long! I am a 3 years old, 44 lbs neutered Terrier mix. I came from the ESLR shelter where TAP rescued me from that hellhole. I finally got to an amazing foster home and now I am ready to go to my furever home. I am good with bathroom training and do well on the leash. If I get distracted, just gentle positive reinforcement for me please. I am timid, so any harsh corrections will push me into a shell. I am sure you know all the good things about force-free training!
I am a mellow and quiet boy and literally never bark. I am nervous around new people but never aggressive. Just sweet and reserved till I trust. And then my incredibly affectionate side comes out. I love being around my people and make the best companion, and really love my foster fur-siblings.I have perfected my leash skills and walks perfectly, never pull, don’t react and I don’t bark. I am still not into toys or playing with them- more of people/dog companion. I am great with other dogs and adore playing with them. Big or small, I make friends very quickly. I have seen cats and barely ever reacted, so no prey drive here. I have also met kids, and there is no mean bone in my body! I would love to be a part of a family and have a great disposition around kids, big and small. Long walks are my thing, but I prefer being cozily napping at home. Tail wags, chest rubs and just loving words of affirmation. And I will be yours for life!
I will make the ideal dog for any family that’s looking for a solid companion and would do best in a home with another resident dog. I may need decompression time at a new place, but I pawmise I will do so great once I trust. I will be the snuggliest, coziest guy and will make a great walkie pawtner. Socializing with other dogs will make me the happiest and that is where I find confidence. All I want is love and affection and trust. My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
