This goofy guy is ready to be your best pal!

Hey there! I’m Duko — a 1.5-year-old, 100-pound mix of Bloodhound, Husky, and German Shepherd. That means I’ve got the nose of a tracker, the energy of an explorer, and the loyalty of a best friend all in one big, handsome package.

Life changed for me recently when my previous owner had to relocate overseas. Luckily, I’ve landed with a foster fam who’s helping me settle in and get the hang of home life. I’m getting neutered soon and I’m as healthy as can be. I’m already bathroom and leash trained! I’m young, eager to learn, and food-motivated, so with some structure and patience, I’m only going to keep getting better.

I’m a playful, goofy guy who loves to be outside sniffing, running around the yard, or flopping dramatically onto my giant bed like I’m staring in my own soap opera. I thrive in an active home with people who can keep me mentally and physically engaged. I do best with an experienced dog owner, especially someone with a yard where I can stretch my legs.

I get along great with my foster family’s smaller dogs, but I’ve shown some selective reactivity toward their older pit. My upcoming neuter may help with that, and with proper introductions, I could live with the right dog friends. I’m good with kids too, though because of my size and energy, older kids would be best. I haven’t met any cats yet so I’m not sure about them.

I don’t have separation anxiety, but I’m still a young, energetic dog learning the ropes, so I’ll need someone who can offer structure and consistency. I’m loyal, sweet, and full of potential — I just need the right person to help me settle in and thrive!
