The perfect companion!
Hi there! My name is Polly, and I’m a sweet, 6-year-old, 67-pound Golden Retriever mix looking for my forever home!
Life has been a bit of an adventure for me—I spent my whole life living outside before coming here. But I’m learning to love indoor life, and guess what? I’m already fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and do great on a leash!
At first, I can be a little shy, but once I get to know and trust you, I’m the sweetest girl ever. I have so much love to give and just want to be loved in return. Some of my favorite things include treats, belly rubs, cuddles, going on walks, napping in my crate, and spending time with my favorite people. And I have a fun little quirk, too – carrying things around in my mouth!
As far as my health needs go, I have a few things to be aware of. First, I have osteoarthritis, and I’m currently taking Galliprant to help with pain and mobility (~$65 for a one month’s supply), along with Dasuquin Chews for Large Dogs to support joint health (~$45 for two month’s supply). I also have hypothyroidism and am currently taking Levothyroxine to help me manage it (~$5 for a one month’s supply). Additionally, I am on Mometavet ear ointment ($35 per tube) to help treat my ears. I have also not been spayed.
I’d love a calm and patient home—one without little kids (older kids 14+ would be fine if they respect my space). I’m independent and don’t have separation anxiety, so I’d be perfectly okay being alone during the day. If you have another dog, I’d need a slow introduction, but I’d probably get along best with a laid-back, easygoing pup.
If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and loyal companion, I might just be the perfect match for you. My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
