Hey, y’all! My name’s Skye. At just 9 months old and 30 pounds, I’m the pawfect-sized Husky mix with a heart as big as Texas. I’m a happy, healthy cowgirl who is already spayed and ready for a family. I started life as a stray in the Rio Grande Valley, but now I’m looking for a furever home where I can shine as bright as a star!
I warm up quickly to any human who crosses my path, and I absolutely love getting pets and attention. When it’s playtime, I’m all in—zooming around, chasing my foster brother, and playing fetch like a champ. When it’s time to relax, I’ll be right by your side, whether it’s at your feet or snuggled up on the couch.
I get along great with dogs of all sizes (even my big 85-pound foster brother!), and while I haven’t met any cats or kids yet, I’m gentle and happy and gentle when I get pets on my face —so I’d likely do just fine. Like any puppy, I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to leash manners and crate time, but I’m a smart cookie and already have “sit” mastered. I do have a little separation anxiety and will bark for a bit when left alone, but with patience and routine, I know I’ll continue to gain confidence.
I’d love a home with a yard or some space where I can stretch my legs and continue my bathroom routine. A furry sibling (or some humans who are around often) would be ideal to keep me company and help me burn off my playful energy.
