Your furever companion!

Hi there, I’m Cara! I’m a 5.5-year-old, 54-pound Shepherd mix, and I’m looking for my perfect furever home! I’m already spayed and ready to start this next chapter of my life with a loving family.

I may have had a rough start—rescued from the notorious Ellos Son La Razon in Mexico—but those tough times are behind me now. I’m the sweetest, calmest girl, and while I love to play, I’m also perfectly happy just snuggling up on the couch with you. Walks, stuffy toys, and hanging out with my foster sibling (a small, scruffy pup) are some of my favorite things!

I am fully blind due to a double enucleation, but don’t worry—it doesn’t slow me down one bit! I just need slow transitions and a little patience so I can get comfortable in new situations. I do great with other dogs and in new environments, but introductions should be taken at my pace so I can feel safe and at home.

I’ve already aced potty training, crate training, and leash training. I’m also super easygoing and don’t have any separation anxiety when left alone.

My ideal home? I’d fit right into most types of households! Whether I have doggie siblings or older kiddos, all I need is love, support, and a little patience while I settle in. With lots of love and affection, I’ll be the best companion you could ever ask for!

If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
