Adoptable: Ranger: Courtesy Post

Age: 2 years old

Gender: Male

Breed: Long hair Chihuahua Mix

Weight: 16 lbs

Personality: Ranger has lived with two other families before currently residing with his foster mama. A lot about his past is unknown, but he has the biggest heart and would love to be able to find his furever home. Ranger is a personable guy with a loving demeanor! He is also mellow, laid back, and loyal. He likes to be his human’s shadow and will curl up next to you and ask for head scratches and belly rubs. He tends to become moderately anxious in new environments, but he is able to settle down and relax pretty quickly.

Education: Ranger is potty-trained and does great on a harness leash, since he does not pull or bark at others he passes. He is also crate-trained and will sleep all night in his crate without issue. Ranger is obedient and is great with basic commands, like “down,” “stay,” “come,” and “no bark.” However, he might need some additional training in the future since he sometimes doesn’t want to listen. Ranger has shown mild/moderate symptoms of separation anxiety and doesn’t like to be alone for long periods of time.

Favorite Activities: Ranger mainly just loves being acknowledged and shown attention! He also enjoys taking walks and taking car rides.

Looking for: Ranger’s ideal home would be one who could give him the love and attention he deserves. He has a moderate energy level and would thrive with daily walks and car ride adventures. He’d also prefer someone who was at home most of the time, and he’d love a doggie sibling to be his companion. Kiddos are okay but preferably older ones, and he’d probably do fine with a kitten, rather than an older cat.

Special needs: Ranger is not yet neutered and needs all vaccines. Not a lot is known as to whether he has had any medical issues in the past, but he is on a special diet since he doesn’t like to eat dry food or dog treats. Currently, Ranger is willing to eat canned food, as well as homemade dog food (a balanced mix of meat, veggies, and grains).
