The gentlest soul!

Hi friends! I’m Reed, a gentle 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing in at 45 lbs. I’m neutered, potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained—ready for all the adventures we can share!

I came from Tijuana, Mexico, where I overcame some challenges as a TVT survivor. I’m now on medication for epilepsy, and my new family will need to work with a neurologist to keep me healthy and monitor dosage. Levetiracetam (~$25 for a two months supply. Price may vary based on where purschased and market value). Potassium Bromide (KBr) (~$180 for 2 months supply. Price may vary depending on where purchased and market value) I also take Cytopoint injections to manage skin allergies. Price depends on established vet and frequency needed. But don’t worry, I’m an easy-going guy! My meds are pretty affordable, and I just need them twice a day.

I’m a mellow soul who loves to nap, sunbathe, and soak up all the back and neck scratches I can get. I’m super friendly with kids of all ages and would do great with another dog of similar size or smaller. I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m all about the love! You may rarely hear me bark, I’m such a big lover. I am super easy going, and I have been an absolute good boy with all my meds.

I enjoy leisurely walks and tasty treats, but I’m perfectly happy just hanging out and keeping you company. If you’re looking for a laid-back buddy who will bring calm and joy to your home, I’m your guy! I understand that a patient and loving family is ideal for me, given my medications, but I pawmise to repay in so much love!

My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
