Description

Welcome sweet Wilbur to your pack!

Hi, there! I’m Willie—though some people call me Wilbur, because like the little pig in Charlotte’s Web, I’ve been through a lot but still have a happy heart. I’m a 7-year-old, 35-pound terrier mix who came all the way from ESLR in Mexico, and I’m finally getting the chance to feel safe and loved.

I’m a happy little girlie, though sometimes a little shy, especially around new people (men take me a bit longer to trust). But each day in my foster home, I open up more—I’m even starting to play with toys and think about joining in the fun with the bigger dogs here! I haven’t been around cats or kids but I hope we’d be friends too. Mostly, I like to relax with them and just enjoy being part of the pack. I really light up in the mornings when my humans wake up—it’s like the best part of my day.

I walk beautifully on leash, and I love sniffing all the interesting smells outside. I haven’t had a single accident in the house, which makes me an easy-breezy companion. The crate isn’t my favorite place, but I’m getting better with practice. When you leave, I might whimper a little, but I settle down pretty quickly.

What I’m looking for is a patient home with another dog to help me build my confidence and keep me company. I’d do best in a calm home without young children, though older kids who respect my space might be okay. With love, security, and time, I know I’ll blossom into a wonderful, loyal friend. Could I be your happy-ever-after?

My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
