Description

Your Gentle Shadow with Playful Pep!

Hi, there! I’m Wallis—a 4-year-old, 46-pound Lab/Collie mix with a soft heart and a sprinkle of playful charm. I came from a hoarding situation in Mexico, and while I’m still learning that the world is a safe place, I’m already showing just how sweet and loving I am.

I’m a pretty relaxed girlie overall. I love lounging, soaking up cozy moments, and being close to my people. If you let me, I’ll happily curl up in your lap or right next to you. But don’t let my chill vibe fool you… I’ve got a playful side too! In the mornings or around mealtime, I get little bursts of energy and even do the cutest skips. I enjoy walks where I can take my time and explore. I also love a good Kong with peanut butter or yogurt. Snacks and cuddles are the way to my heart!

I can be a bit timid when meeting new people and in new or noisy environments, so I’ll need a little patience as I build confidence. Loud noises and fast-moving things like bikes can scare me, and I may bark or lunge when I feel overwhelmed. I can also be reactive to dogs on walks, though I do well living with a dog friend in the home. With time  and guidance, I know I’ll continue to grow!

I’m crate trained and do best when I have a consistent routine. I may howl a bit at first, but I settle in once I know what to expect. When left out of the crate, I can get a little anxious and vocal, so that’s something I’m still working through. Potty training is also a work in progress—I’ve been improving, but I still have occasional accidents. I do well with calm, respectful kids and enjoy their company when things are mellow, but I’m not a fan of lots of noise or chaos.

Why am I the girl for you? Because underneath my shy exterior is the sweetest, most loving gal who just wants a cozy place to land. I’m gentle, affectionate, and so ready to find my person. My ideal home is calm and patient, with humans who understand I may need a little time to adjust. A cozy space to lounge, a predictable routine, and lots of love will help me thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will sit by your side, accept endless belly rubs, and love you with her whole heart—I’m the one for you!

My adoption fee is $250 and includes my spay, vaccinations, and microchip. If you’d like to meet me, please fill out the form here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
