Hi there! My name is Ruth, and I’m a sweet and spunky two-year-old mixed breed, weighing in at about 35 pounds. I’m a healthy girl, already spayed, and I’ve got a great head start on training – I’m potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained too!

In my previous home, I nipped a child who accidentally bumped into me while I was enjoying a treat. In my next home, I couldn’t resist chasing the cats there, so now, I’m on the lookout for a forever family that’s the perfect fit.

I’ve got tons of energy and even more love to give! I’m happiest when I’m out on an adventure – hiking, playing fetch, or going for long walks – as long as it’s by your side. Right now, I’m running about five miles in the morning and taking a two-mile walk in the afternoon… and I’ve still got energy to spare!

I’ve got a great temperament and love being around people and other dogs, but sometimes I get a little too excited and might jump on little ones or pups who aren’t in the mood to play. I’m working hard on my manners and learning how to read the room better. The good news? I don’t have any separation anxiety and do just fine hanging out at home while you’re away.

My dream home would have a playful doggie sibling (or two!) who can keep up with my energy. I’m not a fan of cats, so a kitty-free home is a must. I haven’t spent too much time with kids, but I’d probably do okay around older ones. Most of all, though, I’m looking for a loving, active family who can give me the exercise, structure, and snuggles I crave.
