A great companion who just wants to love everyone!
Oso
Hi there! I’m Oso – a four-year-old, 41-pound German Shepherd Mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. I’m believed to have been rescued after the LA fires earlier this year, so I’m really looking forward to finding a stable, loving home to call my own.
I’m a super sweet, calm guy who’s perfectly happy with a couple of daily walks, a little playtime, and lots of lounging. Snuggling is my absolute favorite, and I bond quickly – I just love being close to my people. I’m also a big fan of squeaky toys, balls, and exploring fun new places like coffee shops, pet stores, and anywhere I can sniff around.
I’m fully potty-trained, walk nicely on a leash, and I’m crate-trained too (though I might whine a bit at first, especially somewhere new). I’ve already been neutered and I’m in good health overall – I just have dry skin, so I use medicated shampoo and a bit of ointment on my belly where I get some chafing from fatty lumps.
I’m great with other dogs and cats, but I’m not the best match for a home with kids. I do resource guard and need someone who understands not to take high-value items from me. I can also get overstimulated during rough play with both dogs and humans, which may lead me to react more strongly.
My dream home is a peaceful, mellow one. I’d love someone who’s around during the day, though with a little time and practice I can handle being on my own, too. I’d be happy as your only pet or with another calm furry friend. My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
