Personality: Monkey is a silly goofy girl who will have you laughing and smiling all day. She is a well balanced dog. She can match the energy so if you want to relax she will be a cuddle bug couch potato with you. But if you want to play or go for a walk she's always ready for some fun. She loves meeting new people and gives face kisses and rolls on her back for belly scratches. She is quiet and very rarely barks. She can be both independent and hang by herself, or be very affectionate and cuddly. She's ok being left home alone without a crate. Long hours are fine. She loves food and is very trainable and food motivated. She is a smart dog and picks up on things fast. She's very emotionally intelligent and observant. She really just wants to be a good girl and make you happy.

Education: Monkey is potty trained. She is also crate trained, but crate is not needed; she stays by herself in the house without any issues. She is very nice to walk on a leash with a front clip harness. She likes meeting strangers on walks. She is fine when she sees dogs and doesn't react as long as the dog doesn't get in her space.

Favorite Activities: She likes to relax on the couch or in her bed. Cuddle with her people. Eat food and snacks. Sleep on her back with her paws up. Chase her tail. Play with stuffed toys. Go on short walks in busy urban areas or longer walks in quiet neighborhoods. She likes car rides and walks on nature trails.

Looking For: Monkey should be the only pet. A mellow or active home would be fine. She can adapt to a lot of different environments and routines . Alone time is fine with her, so people working outside of the house will not have to worry about leaving her by herself for a few hours! She is good with kids of all ages and would be great in a family with kids!

I’m a 1-year-old silly girl with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a talent for making people laugh without even trying. One minute I’m zooming around chasing my tail, the next I’m upside down on the couch, paws in the air, waiting for belly rubs like it’s my full-time job.

But before all that… things were a little scary for me.

I ended up at a shelter in LA, and I was put on something called the “final plea list.” That means my time was running out. I was just a baby who had already been through so much… but then TAP saw me, and everything changed.

Now I’m safe. And ready for my real life to begin—with you 💛
