Mateo is an 8-pound bundle of love and energy who’s ready to find his forever home! Rescued from Mexico alongside his sister, this special boy was born with a rare genetic condition that left him without corneas, making him visually impaired — but don’t let that fool you. Mateo doesn’t let anything slow him down!

This curious, confident guy navigates the world like a pro and has the heart of a true adventurer. He’s great on a leash, loves going for walks, and thrives in an active home where there’s plenty of playtime and affection. Mateo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats — he’d make an amazing second dog or be a fantastic addition to a fun-loving family.

He’s got a silly side, too! Picture a tiny meerkat — that’s Mateo when he pops up to check out the action. He loves to crawl all over you like a little monkey and will happily curl up once the zoomies are out of his system.

Mateo is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and just a year old.
