Ginny

Animal ID: TAPR-A-3031

Age: 1y1m

Gender: Female

Breed: Miniature Poodle / Maltese mix

Weight: 25

Personality: Puppy vibes! Ginny is a sweet, playful, curious, and slightly clumsy girl. She may be a little shy at first, but give her a couple of days, and you’ll see her adorable, goofy puppy personality shine. She is a loving, affectionate girl who enjoys cuddling on the couch, playing with toys and other dogs, and going for walks to explore the world. She sometimes barks when she is super excited and ready to party! She loves some morning playtime before settling in for her afternoon nap. But beware, she is known to be a laundry bandit. Like many young pups, she is still building her confidence. Loud noises like sirens can be a bit scary, and she is not totally comfortable walking outside at night just yet, but with patience and encouragement, she is getting braver every day. She has done well on short car rides (up to 30 minutes) with no car sickness and lies down after a few minutes of exploring the backseat.

Friendliness: Dogs: Yes Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown

Education: She is making great progress with her potty training and is working on her crate and leash training

Favorite Activities: Playing with toys and dog friends, snuggling on the couch, going on walks, exploring the outdoors, and treats (of course!)

Looking For: She is looking for a semi-active home with a loving family who will give her the time she needs to settle in, continue her basic training, and help her grow from a timid newcomer into a confident, fun-loving "firecracker." She woud prefer to have company throughout the day and would enjoy spending time with other dogs.

Description

Hi, I’m Ginny 💫🐾

I’m a 1-year-old girl with soft white curls, a big heart, and what my foster says are major puppy vibes. I might look like I’ve got it all together, but truthfully… I’m still figuring this big world out.

I didn’t have the easiest start—I was found all alone in a place called the “Lot of Lost Souls” in Tijuana. But don’t worry, that part of my story is behind me now. These days, I’m safe, loved, and learning that life can actually be really, really good.

I can be a little shy when we first meet… but give me a couple of days and I promise you’ll see the real me: silly, playful, curious, and just a tiny bit clumsy (okay… maybe more than a tiny bit). I love to play, I love to explore, and I really love to cuddle. Like… really.

My favorite things are:

  • Playing with toys (and sometimes… stealing laundry… oops 🙈)
  • Hanging out with my dog friends
  • Snuggling on the couch with my humans
  • Going on little adventures and sniffing everything
  • Treats (I mean, obviously)

I’m still learning a lot of things right now. The world can feel a little big and loud sometimes—sirens and nighttime walks can be kind of scary—but I’m getting braver every day. I just need someone patient who will cheer me on and help me feel safe.

I’m working on my manners too! I’m learning:

  • Potty training (I’m doing pretty well, just still figuring out the routine)
  • Crate training (I might whine at first because I don’t want to miss out, but I do settle)
  • Walking on a leash (sometimes I get nervous and freeze, but I’m trying!)

I really love being around my people… like, really love it. I don’t love being left alone, but I feel a lot better when I have a dog friend nearby. Having a buddy helps me feel safe and brave.

My dream home 🏡
I’m looking for a family who will be patient with me while I grow into my most confident self. I’d love a home with another friendly dog, and humans who are around a lot and want me to be part of their everyday life. I promise to bring a whole lot of love, laughter, and maybe a missing sock or two into your world.

If you give me a chance, I’ll give you my whole heart. I just need someone to show me that I’m finally home 💛
