Description
Hi there! I’m Ella, a cute and cuddly 11-year-old Bichon Frise gal, weighing in at about 18 pounds. I’ve come all the way from an Orange County shelter to find my furever home! Though I have Cushing’s disease, that doesn’t stop me from enjoying life and all the little things that make me happy.
I’m truly the sweetest girl who loves to play, explore outside, lounge around, soak up belly rubs, and, of course, enjoy a good meal. I also love going for walks! Right now, I’m working on getting my girlish figure back, so shorter strolls are perfect for me. I do great on car rides and get along well with my doggie friends. I haven’t had much experience with kitties or kiddos yet, but from what I’ve experienced so far, I think I’d do just fine with both.
When it comes to training, I’ve pretty much mastered potty training – though I did have a couple of small accidents while adjusting to my new foster home (new places can be confusing at first!). I sleep peacefully in my crate at night and would likely do just fine snoozing outside of one, too. During the day, I can relax in my crate for short periods without any trouble. My leash manners are superb, and I’m a pretty independent girl who stays calm when my humans head out for a bit – no separation anxiety here!
In short, I’m a gentle, easygoing senior pup who would love to spend my golden years in a warm, loving home. A mellow environment with cozy spots to relax and safe places to explore would be perfect for me. And if you’re someone who enjoys a few short walks each day, we’ll make a wonderful team keeping each other happy and healthy.
My adoption fee is $150 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
