Ciao bellas! My name’s Venice, and at just 9 weeks old and 10.5 pounds, I’ve already had quite the journey. My name may make me sound like the Italian charmer that I am, but I was initially found on the streets of Tijuana with my three siblings (no mama in sight). I’m safe now and soaking up the good life in San Diego! I may be small, but I’ve got explorer energy — think curious puppy meets future adventure buddy. If there’s something new to see, sniff, or climb, I’m already on my way over to check it out.

I’m a social little man who absolutely loves other dogs — big dogs, little dogs, all dogs! Having furry friends around makes me feel confident and happy. I also adore people of all ages. I can be a tiny bit unsure around new large men at first, but give me a minute and I’m wagging my whole body like we’ve been friends furever. When playtime winds down, you’ll usually find me curled up asleep on my person or a furry friend— cuddling is my specialty!

I’m a playful pup who hasn’t met a toy I didn’t like. I’m very food motivated, which makes training pretty smooth sailing! I’m already making great pawgress with potty training and I know to sit for treats and to be let out of my pen or crate. I do prefer company and will cry for 10+ minutes if left alone, but that’s pretty normal for a baby like me and will likely improve as I grow and gain confidence.

Why adopt me? Well, besides being ridiculously cute (have you seen the markings around my eyes and my little sock feet?), I’m smart, affectionate, playful, and full of potential. I’ll likely make an incredible adventure partner someday — hikes, outings, maybe even agility if you’re into that. Everyone who meets me falls a little bit in love! I’d thrive in a home with kids and/or other dogs, plenty of supervision (I am very curious puppy after all), and people who are excited to help a young pup grow into his best self!
