Looking for: Ramon would thrive in a mellow home where he can enjoy a relaxed environment with loving companionship. He likes being around his people but is also okay spending time alone. Hola amigos! My name is Ramon. After snuggling up from TJ, I’m exciting to find my furever home in SD! I’m a 6-year-old, 68-pound Terrier mix with a heart as big as my love for life. I may be blind, but don’t let that fool you—I navigate the world with curiosity, confidence, and a whole lot of love.
I’m a laid-back, easy-going guy who enjoys hanging out with my humans. I love attention but am also perfectly content lounging on my own. Give me some toys and kong and I can keep myself entertained! I’m gentle, friendly, and never get startled or bark much—just a chill dude looking for a cozy spot to call home. My blindness doesn’t slow me down, and I’m great at learning my way around new spaces. An open-concept home or one with minimal obstacles would be ideal, but I’ll do my best to memorize the layout quickly!
I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and walk like a pro on a leash. I’m a smart fella who is curious and eager to learn. I don’t have separation anxiety, so I’m totally fine if you need to step out for a bit. While I love people (including kids!), I’d do best as the only pup in the home, as I prefer slow introductions to other dogs.
I have a couple of special needs—managing my kidney disease means I’ll need regular vet checkups every 4-5 months, a special diet (Hill’s Prescription K/D– Price is ~$95.00 for a 17 LB bag), and some routine meds for blood pressure (Telmisartan– Price for 2 months supply is ~$42.00) and allergies (Cytopoint injections every 6-8 weeks).
