Your loving, adventure-ready companion!

Hey there, friends! I’m Hope, a sweet and spirited 1.5-year-old Terrier mix weighing 52 pounds. I’ve been through a lot, but I’m one resilient pup with so much love to give!

I was rescued from SEACCA in San Bernardino in the nick of time. I had been attacked by other dogs and needed care for my ear wounds, and thankfully TAP was there to help me through the healing process.  Although one of my ears ultimately had to be removed, it hasn’t slowed me down one bit! Oh, and about my tail – it turns out I got a little too excited in my foster home and kept wagging it so hard that I continuously injured it. After some healing challenges, my tail was also removed, but honestly, I’m still the happiest, wiggliest girl you’ll ever meet. Nothing can stop me from spreading joy!

I absolutely love snuggling, but I’ve got plenty of playful energy, too! Walks, treat puzzles, tug-of-war, beach days, and car rides are my favorite things. I’m super friendly with people and other dogs — not a mean bone in this body!

I’m already crate-trained and potty-trained, and I’m doing great with my leash training too (especially when wearing a harness). I’ve been spayed, and I’m a total sweetheart with no signs of aggression. While I did have some collapsing episodes when TAP first took me in, those have stopped, and the vet couldn’t identify anything concerning.

I’d love to find a home with a playful doggy sibling (or two!) and an active family who’s ready for some adventures. A backyard where I can zoom around would be amazing, too! While I adore kids, I can get a little too enthusiastic and might accidentally knock over tiny humans — so older kids would be the best fit. Catch more of me on IG @@adoptablehope
