Description
Hi there! My name is Clementine, and I’m a 3.5-year-old Chihuahua weighing about 12 pounds. I was rescued from the SEACCA shelter after giving birth there all by myself. Sadly, none of my sweet babies survived, but I’m ready to leave the past behind and start a bright new chapter in a loving furever home. I’m a healthy girl and have not yet been spayed.
I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I warm up, I’m truly one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever know. I have so much love to give and just want someone to love me right back. I absolutely adore being close to my people and will happily follow you around like your loyal little shadow. I tend to warm up to women and kids a bit faster than men, and I especially love being around kiddos.
My favorite things include cuddling on the couch, burrowing into cozy blankets, hanging out with my humans, and – most importantly – snacking on cheese. I’m not much of a player with other dogs, but I do tolerate them just fine, especially if they’re on the smaller side.
As for my training, I’m mostly potty-trained, though I may have an occasional accident while I’m still learning. I’ll also need a little help getting the hang of walking on a leash. I’m not the biggest fan of my crate at first and might cry or bark for a bit, but I settle down quickly – especially if you reassure me that everything is okay. I do have a touch of separation anxiety, so being crated when left alone helps keep me safe and out of mischief since I sometimes like to jump on things.
My ideal home would be one with kids and people who are around most of the day to keep me company. A small doggie sibling could be nice, but it’s not required. Most of all, I’m dreaming of a family who will let me snuggle close on the couch or even share the bed.
My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
