Meet Speed Bump: The Detour You’ll Be Glad You Took!
Hi, there! I’m Speed Bump, a 4-year-old, 44-pound mixed-breed fella who proves that sometimes the best parts of life happen when you slow down a little. I’m neutered, healthy, and full of pawsonality — spunky, outgoing, and always ready to hop into whatever adventure (or cuddle session) comes next.
I’m spunky, outgoing, and ridiculously friendly — the kind of dog who makes friends at every rest stop, whether they’re human or canine. I live with three other dogs right now and fit right in, no problem. As for walks, cats, and kids — those chapters are still unwritten. I don’t have a prey drive, and with my friendly, affectionate attitude, I could end up being great with kids, too!
I’m an energetic little road warrior who loves to play hard and then pull over for quality cuddle time. Playing and snuggling are my top two destinations, though I should warn you: if you leave slippers or socks lying around, I might treat them like roadside souvenirs. I’m still working on my house manners and occasionally mark, so continued potty training will be part of my journey. I’ll need a furever fam who’s patient and consistent while we smooth out those bumps together.
I’ve gotta be honest — crates are not my lane. I really dislike them and have been known to channel my inner Houdini to escape. I’ve also had some separation anxiety in one of my two foster homes, and I currently use medication as needed to help me settle. Because of that, I’d do best with someone who works from home or is around more often, at least while I build confidence and learn that you’ll always come back.
Why adopt me? I’m a loving, joyful companion with a huge heart and so much affection to give. I’d thrive in an active home with people (and maybe other dogs!) where I can play, cuddle, and feel included in everyday life. Give me a little guidance, some patience, and a comfy spot beside you — and I pawmise I’ll make every day a road trip worth taking!
