Boogie
Hi there! My name is Boogie, and I’m a two-year-old Pocket Bully Mix, tipping the scales at a cool 40 pounds of pure charm.
I’m an LA boy at heart and was abandoned at a veterinary hospital due to a prolapsed urethra. After several unsuccessful attempts to fix it, I underwent surgery to remove my penis. Now, I’m happy, healthy, and totally unbothered by it. Seriously – I don’t even know anything’s different! I pee like a champ, have no long-term health issues, and I’m already neutered. All systems go!
Everyone says I’m the bestest boy, and honestly, they might be right. I love everyone and everything, and am basically just thrilled to exist near humans. I’m a certified love bug and professional couch potato about 90% of the time – but watch out, because those other 10% are pure zoomies in the backyard!
Now let’s talk about my true passion in life: FOOD. It is my number one love, with kids coming in a very close second. I also enjoy walks around the block, car rides, cuddles, kisses, belly rubs, and absolutely destroying empty boxes that are lying around. Again, I just adore kids and soak up their attention like a sponge.
Training-wise, I’m doing great! I’m fully crate trained and am almost a leash-walking pro (I might pull a tiny bit at first because, well, life is exciting). Potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m getting there! Since I love food a little too much, I eat from a slow feeder so I don’t inhale my meals. I also need to be fed separately from other pets because I try to eat their portions, too. Good news, though: I’m super chill and don’t have any separation anxiety.
I think I’d fit right into just about any home. I love being around my people (especially kids!), but I’m also cool hanging out solo while you’re at work – as long as I get plenty of love and snuggles when you get back. Doggie siblings are A-OK, and kitties are likely fine, as well. Because of my breed, I’m not built for long hikes or super intense exercise, but I am always down for an adventure! I love going to new places, especially bars and restaurants, where I can collect compliments, belly rubs, and fans.
If you’re looking for a lovable sidekick you can take just about anywhere, look no further – I’m your guy! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
