Description

Hi there! My name is Nikki, and I’m a five-year-old Lab mix who weighs about 34 pounds. I’m a healthy girl – I’m just finishing up treatment for a little UTI, but no long-term health concerns here! I was rescued from a shelter in Mexico and have already been spayed, so I’m all ready for my forever home.

I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who loves making new friends – with humans and other doggie friends! I settle in quickly to new places and enjoy being around kids, too. I have great play manners and have lots of patience – especially with little ones. You’ll usually find me wagging my tail (pretty much all the time!) to show how happy I am. I love playing fetch, exploring the outdoors, and of course, soaking up all the snuggles and belly rubs.

When it comes to training, I’ve got it covered! I’m fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. I do great whether I’m in my crate or free to roam the house, and I don’t have any separation anxiety. I’m also learning simple commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “come.” Outside, I can’t resist a little adventure –  I love to sniff around and look for small critters like lizards or mice –  so a secure yard would be perfect for me to explore safely.

As for my ideal home, I’m pretty flexible and can easily blend into most environments.  I’d fit right in with a family that has kids or other dogs, as long as there’s a safe yard and plenty of love and attention to go around.

Do we sound like a good match? If so, my adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.

Nikki’s ride to freedom has been graciously sponsored by Colin Gerber and Nikki Wilson!
