Hi there! My name is Ruth, and I’m a sweet and spunky two-year-old mixed breed, weighing in at about 35 pounds. I’m a healthy girl, already spayed, and I’ve got a great head start on training – I’m potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained too! I am also very smart and learn new commands easily – just recently I learned four new commands, and I am ready to learn more!

I’ve got lots of energy, but I will match yours!  I’m happiest when I’m out on an adventure – hiking, playing fetch, or going for long walks – as long as it’s by your side.  I am also very content just lounging with my humans and my favorite stuffed animals. I have lots of love to give!

I’ve got a great temperament and love being around people and other dogs, but sometimes I get a little too excited and might jump on little ones or pups who aren’t in the mood to play. I’m working hard on my manners and learning how to read the room better. The good news? I don’t have any separation anxiety and do just fine hanging out at home while you’re away.

In my previous home, I nipped a child who accidentally bumped into me while I was enjoying a treat. In my next home, I couldn’t resist chasing the cats there, so now, I’m on the lookout for a forever family that’s the perfect fit.  My dream home would have a playful doggie sibling (or two!) who can keep up with my energy, although I can be an only dog, too. I’m not a fan of cats, so a kitty-free home is a must. I haven’t spent too much time with kids, but I’d probably do okay around older ones. Most of all, though, I’m looking for a loving, active family who can give me the exercise, structure, and snuggles I crave.
