We love finding our dogs the best homes ever, however, please be patient with our process during these high volume times. Because we are a fully volunteer-run rescue, we are unable to give daily updates on the dogs or to reach back out to you once a pup has been adopted by someone else. We also have upcoming Doodle litters who will be available in early March.
As a grassroots non-profit organization, we do not receive federal and state funding like local county shelters so we are fully funded by and rely heavily on donations and sponsorships. Our number one priority is to save the lives of dogs. We can only do this if we can remain operational and cover our expenses. Our expenses include, but are not limited to, veterinary care, supplies and medicine, food, facility space and maintenance, fuel and maintenance of our TAP van, leashes and crates to safely transport dogs from Mexico to the U.S., boarding facilities in Mexico until space clears in the U.S., and kennel fees of partners. Your adoption fee is an important part of our livelihood, and therefore saves the life of a dog.
With that said, the puppy (<12 weeks of age) doodles’ adoption fee will be $1500. There will be a $100 refundable vetting deposit for spay/neuter. Young and Adult Doodles’ adoption fee is $1,000.
The puppies may be adopted prior to their spay/neuter however, we strictly adhere to that they are altered at 12 weeks and this will be stated on the adoptions contract. Our adoption fee covers the aforementioned and standard vetting for each dog: wellness exam, DAPP vaccine series, bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, flea/tick preventative medicine, spay/neuter, and microchip. The majority, if not all, of our dogs’ vetting costs exceed the adoption fee. We depend on the adoption fees to rescue the dogs.Puppy FTA Application
