Our belly-rub queen, Sierra!
Sierra is our sweet brown, 2 year old, female Lab/Shepherd mix who was rescued from our sister shelter in Mexico. She was a last minute addition as she managed to steal all our hearts within seconds! She has completed bathroom training and has good house manners, and walks great on a leash. She has been spayed already.
Sierra is the definition of a velcro dog! Although she can be shy with new people at first, once she feels comfortable with you, she won’t hesitate to ask for a belly rub. She is sweet, very smart, and eager to please; she knows how to sit, paw, wait, sing, and come when called. She’ll follow you from room to room, and wants nothing more than to cuddle on the couch with her head in your lap. She’s the perfect date around town to run errands and explore the neighborhood, and she’s a delightful passenger in the car! Sierra has really enjoyed hiking and visiting dog beach. Even when off leash, she prefers to stick close to her people! Sierra LOVES attention and has been known to nose in to steal pets from her foster brother…she’s a bit of a diva, but can you blame her?
Sierra has come such a long way since she was first rescued and has become much more comfortable in unfamiliar situations and being left alone. Living with another calm dog in the house for company has helped her a lot, and we think she would do well with another mellow canine sibling once properly introduced. She hasn’t met children or kitties yet.
Sierra will thrive in any home with a family who will give her lots of love (and belly rubs) and continue her training. In return, she be the most loyal, loving companion. She would love a home with human or canine company most of the time. Her adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying, shots and microchip.
