Peppermint Pattie

More pepper than mint for this fiesta!

Peppermint Pattie, or PP, is a young 10 month old, 38 lbs, female Border Collie-Aussie cattledog mix. she was born to be smart and has mastered house, crate and leash training and enjoys showing her skills off! She has been spayed already.

PP is currently undergoing treatment for TVT (transmissible venereal tumor), a completely curable issue that will be done in a few weeks. She also gets carsick and has a prescription for anti-nausea meds when she goes for car rides (this is common for young dogs and she may grow out of it). She was a surrender to the ESLR by a family who said that she kept escaping because of fireworks. Her short stint at the shelter was interrupted by a TAP volunteer who used the sponsorship program to bring her to the USA!

PP has a feisty, fiery personality and a total party animal! With a bunch of puppy energy, she is always down to play, fetch, tug, anything! Yet, she is well behaved at home and has shown no destructive tendencies, except tryna run with a shoe, maybe once. This smartie has been picking up commands, using her toy and food driven motivation. She is going to be a delight to train and may be into agility and sports, when older. She may not have had enough socialization growing up and is finally learning to be polite with other dogs. She is learning to calm her leash reactivity and to be less dominant. Her exuberance and excitement may be too much for young kids, but she would like to meet to test out. This playful and fun puppy will keep you laughing and her kisses will make your day!

PP would love an active, leader-like parent to will let her exercise her body and brain. A fenced yard will be better for her than car rides to a park. She should probably be the only dog or must have supervised social intros to prevent scuffles. Older kids will be better suited for her. This pet’s adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots and microchip. If you want to take this pet home, please fill out the form on the website here
